Here's the situation: the Department of Energy (DOE) is currently considering its largest-ever application to export liquefied methane gas - a project called Calcasieu Pass 2 (CP2) in southwest Louisiana.

This project is a ticking climate bomb - with yearly emissions equal to 53 coal-fired power plants or 43 million cars. Our communities and planet simply cannot afford a massive new source of fossil fuel pollution that will make the climate crisis even worse.

The environmental movement has a shot - a real shot - at blocking the whole thing, but it comes down to the kind of pressure we can apply to lawmakers right now. We're turning to our members to help pull this off.

We're up against Big Oil lobbyists who are spending BIG to pressure lawmakers to keep business as usual for LNG export decisions - and we have to make sure our voices are louder.
