John,
The Biden Administration has announced $1 billion in new funding for school districts to replace old yellow diesel buses with new electric buses instead.
The Environmental Protection Agency will allocate this money from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to over 280 school districts, which will provide clean transportation to 7 million students nationwide.
This achievement wouldnβt be possible without the tireless efforts of our SEEC Members in Congress to pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and fighting for climate solutions. Can you chip in $10 or more to support our SEEC Members so they can keep up their work? [[link removed]]
CHIP IN [[link removed]]While school districts are able to purchase electric buses on their own, not all districts have the funding or infrastructure to support this switch to clean energy.
Charging electric buses require massive amounts of power from the grid to charge and getting power lines installed can take between nine months to two years.
Our SEEC Members understand that infrastructure is what makes clean energy work, and we need all the support we can get to continue this important work. Will you chip in now to help our pro-climate champions in Congress win re-election and continue advocating to improve our clean energy infrastructure? [[link removed]]
CHIP IN [[link removed]]Not only will this transition to electric buses reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but it also protects children from harmful air pollution. Studies have shown that students with long-term exposure to diesel exhaust have higher rates of asthma and cancer.
An investment in clean energy is an investment in our younger generations. Thatβs why our SEEC Members are fighting for a transition to clean energy. Can you pitch in today and help support them so they can continue their work in Congress? [[link removed]]
