Today, we honor and celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,
whose contributions and sacrifices have made our country a more fair and
equitable one.
Today is yet another reminder of the importance of having honest
conversations, reckoning with our own uncomfortable history with white
supremacy and racism, and above all else educating ourselves and taking
the time to reflect on the complex and diverse experiences that come with
being Black in the United States.
More than 50 years after his assassination, Dr. King’s legacy can be seen
and felt in every corner of the country and in today’s racial justice
movement. Today it is up to each and every one of us to play a part in
continuing to live by the values Dr. King espoused.
To honor Dr. King’s contributions in advancing civil rights and combating
racial inequality, we invite you to learn more about the civil rights
leader. Below we have provided a few book, video, and podcast suggestions
