TONIGHT: Join Our Branch Steering Committee for a Call on COVID-19 in Montgomery County

MoCo DSA call *tonight*
Good morning comrades,

It would be an understatement of historic proportions to say we are living in difficult times. As we are socially distancing from the Coronavirus, we are also learning the importance of solidarity when our individual conditions are as intertwined as right now. Many people are overworked responding to this crisis, and many others now have too little work because of it. As socialists, we are reminded that another world is possible that centers and affirms the lives and labor of all people, rather than the profits of the few.

That is why I and the rest of the branch steering committee would like to invite you to join us for our weekly steering call at 7 pm tonight. Just reply to this email to RSVP for the call-in information.

We want to share political and legislative updates from our county and state governments, and then discuss what mutual aid in our communities can look like in these difficult times. Even as we take every precaution to keep ourselves and our loved ones healthy, we still have so much we can offer one another and our neighbors.

We ask that you RSVP by replying to this email or emailing me at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]?subject=RSVP%20for%20tonight's%20call) , so that we can send out call agenda and a link to the call-in information. We will send it by 5:30 pm tonight. If you have anything you would like to discuss with your fellow members or resources you would like to promote, we encourage you to share them in your RSVP email.

Finally, we on the steering committee want to encourage all members to reach out to us if there is any way we can be of assistance. Our membership has an incredible wealth of knowledge and skills, so if you are struggling with a particular issue during this crisis, we will do our best to help you in your situation.
