Meet the companies profiting from Israel’s war on Gaza: [link removed] Last month, AFSC published a list of dozens of companies [link removed] that are benefiting from ongoing attacks on Gaza. "The scale of destruction and war crimes in Gaza would not be possible without massive weapon transfers from the U.S.,” says AFSC’s Noam Perry. “As global resistance to war and apartheid grows, it is important that the public know exactly who is making this violence possible.” The list is updated regularly as new information comes to light. Opinion: The federal government is failing migrant families being kept between the border walls: [link removed] For months, Border Patrol has held migrants—including children—in open-air detention sites without access to basic services. Last month, AFSC and other immigrant rights organizations filed a federal complaint against the Department of Homeland Security for these gross human rights violations. Thanks to volunteers, we've also been providing migrants with food, water, medical care, and other relief. “It is one small way to challenge the inhumanity of the walls,” writes AFSC’s Adriana Jasso. Take action to stop Cop City: [link removed] AFSC is part of a coalition in Atlanta that is working to stop the construction of Cop City. If built, it would be one of the country’s largest militarized police training facilities and clearcut much of Atlanta’s largest forest. New migrants face fear and loneliness. A Colorado town has a storied support network: [link removed] Since the 1990s, immigrants from Somalia, Guatemala, Honduras, and other countries have arrived in the small town of Fort Morgan, Colorado. In 2020, AFSC began supporting newcomer immigrant community members to access the asylum process and to advocate for just, humane migration policies.
