Today, we are collecting and analyzing data on how renters—who are especially vulnerable to climate extremes—recover after disasters. We are collaborating with resident-owned mobile home parks to help them become more resilient to climate disasters. We are studying health care costs stemming from climate-fueled disasters in overburdened communities along the Gulf Coast to inform adaption planning. And this is just the beginning of our work to advance both equity and environmental justice.
