I’ve been across the country knocking on doors and have seen firsthand how they’re silencing Black voices at the ballot box.

So many Black voters told me they didn't know where to vote or if they were even registered and they didn’t feel like their vote mattered.

But our presence on the ground has made a real impact — WeDiB members like me have helped educate and empower THOUSANDS of voters since 2016. For many Black people, especially Black women, systemic racism and discrimination doesn’t stop just at the polls.

As an immigrant and domestic worker, I've experienced firsthand the exploitation that is baked into our federal law, which makes abusive workplaces far too common. But through WeDiB, I found a supportive community that is passionately fighting for improved working standards, benefits, rights and justice.

WeDiB uplifts and supports the voices, experiences, and leadership of Black women by:
* Bringing together hundreds of Black care providers, housecleaners and childcare professionals for the We Dream in Black Organizing Institute. It's just one part of an enormous effort to build up Black domestic worker leadership.
* Training Black domestic workers to know what their labor and civil rights are and how to advocate for themselves at work.
* Growing our WeDiB chapters, especially in key states across the South, and around the country.
* Doing voter outreach and education to Black voters who have been left behind by other organizations.
