Let me tell you what I think, John.

Young people are smart. We pay attention to the issues. We’re showing up to vote.

But to me, this is only the first step for our generation. The second step? Running.

We need young people on the ballot. We need young people in elected office.

As a generation, we grew up hearing that to survive a school shooting, we had to run, hide, and fight. I think our generation needs to reinterpret what that means.
