My mother, Dr. Clarke, sent around this email yesterday outlining her concerns with the growing extremism and dysfunction in the GOP and asking our supporters to step up early to support my re-election campaign.
I couldn’t have said it better myself. With the GOP embracing white supremacy, anti-immigrant rhetoric, and anti-worker practices, it’s more important than ever that we show how strong our grassroots base is.
Dr. Clarke set a goal to raise $2,000 before the weekend and we’re just $837 away from that goal. Will you step up and help us reach our yearly fundraising goal? [[link removed]]

This year, we saw House Republicans almost lead us to a government shutdown multiple times, hold up critical legislation by infighting with their extreme wing, ultimately elect a rookie extremist to lead the House, and cause confusion and dysfunction all year.
As we look to 2024, it seems the extreme fringes of the Republican Party are still trying to go all out, attacking Democrats across the country and even making headways here in New York.
We need to send strong advocates to Congress, but with a fired up extremist base, we can’t take any race or any campaign for granted.
That’s why I wanted to email you today. Yvette just let me know that her team is rushing to hit their fundraising goal for the end of the year because they want to get started campaigning early to show the far right that our base is strong and ready to send Yvette back to Washington.
I know it’s a busy time of year, but investing in this campaign early will pay dividends. Can I count on you to chip in [[link removed]] today? If we raise $2,000 by tomorrow at midnight, we’ll be well on our way to hitting our 2023 goal.
