John —

I wanted to take a moment to make sure that you saw Katie Mae’s email from a couple days ago.

The climate crisis is threatening the waters, air, and forests in Maine—and our children are facing a future of climate catastrophe. But even amongst the scary headlines, I have good news to share with you, John. We still have time to fight for the environment we all cherish.

MCV is working on the frontlines at the statehouse to advocate for legislation that protects the land, water, and communities in Maine. But we can only do this with your support.

Thank you for your partnership in this work,

Dear John,

When I think about climate change, so many questions pop into my head. Will my children inherit a livable planet? Or even better, a thriving one? Did I do what I could to ensure that would happen?

I want to be a good ancestor. I would want to be able to look my great-great-great-grandchildren in the eyes and say, “Yes, I saw the problem, and I fought to make change.”

I am a Maine Conservation Voters (MCV) board member to fight for a sustainable and more equitable future for all. I stand with MCV because it is an effective organization that marries policy chops with political strategy. Please join me in supporting MCV’s work with a gift today, John.

I grew up in Maine, and it is where I am raising my children. Supporting organizations like MCV doing deep work in the state is a priority for my family.

Throughout the year, your support of MCV will:

*Advocate for legislation that cuts carbon pollution and protects the land, water, health, and communities in Maine;
*Center collective action and community organizing activism to push for environmental justice; and
*Hold our lawmakers accountable for their votes on Maine's environment and the climate crisis with MCV’s annual Environmental Scorecard.

We need support from partners like you who understand the unique role that MCV plays in the environmental movement in Maine. [[link removed]]
