In the past few months, Congress hasn’t been able to get much done due to the
incessant infighting of the House Republican caucus. Nonetheless, Doris still
managed some big accomplishments! In the past couple months, Doris has…

→ Introduced the Providing Realistic Opportunity to Equal and Comparable
Treatment for Rare (PROTECT Rare) Act: legislation that will support patients
with rare and ultra-rare diseases in getting evidence-based, medically
necessary care covered by their health insurance.

→ Reintroduced the TREES Act: a bill that will help homeowners lower energy
costs, increase tree canopy in underserved communities, and help mitigate the
effects of climate change through residential tree planting.

→ Led a group of 10 lawmakers urging the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee
(DGAC), to evaluate early introduction of food allergens to prevent development
of food allergies.

And this is just a handful of things Doris has done so far! We are so proud of
her work even under extreme pressure – which is why we must protect her seat!
