We are on the path to decarbonizing our power sector, but the power grid itself is a threat to that transmission. To hit our goals, we need to build 17 times more transmission lines per year than our current pace.  

Put more simply: no transmission, no transition. 

To build all these transmission lines, we need to reform how those projects get permitted—and do so without allowing more fossil fuel projects to be permitted alongside clean energy.
