A Message Concerning Upcoming Meetings

Dear members,

considering the threat the COVID-19 virus poses to our immuno-compromised and elderly members and community at-large, we have recommended chapter business continue with mechanisms in place to limit exposure pathways. In line with the CA dept of health's advisory, we are still holding regularly scheduled committee meetings and chapter business but via remote access through internet and phone based calls and chats. This weeks email contains links to all our upcoming virtual meetings.

As your elected Executive Board, we have voted to cancel the March General Membership Meeting slated to take place on March 21. We took your feedback along with the health department's and library's advisories into consideration while weighing this decision.

As democratic socialists we know that everyone deserves healthcare, paid sick leave and strong worker protections- not just when a global pandemic occurs. Now more than ever, our work fighting for Medicare for all and a Bernie Sanders presidency must continue!

We hope to hear you at a meeting soon!
