Donald Trump's Plot Against America ([link removed])

Here are some Trumpdates.
* Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford (D) announced ([link removed]) that six people have been indicted for participating in a fake elector scheme during the 2020 election. The group submitted false documents claiming that Nevada's electoral votes would go to former President Donald Trump instead of President Joe Biden.
* Fake electors from Wisconsin for Trump settled ([link removed]) a lawsuit against them and agreed that President Joe Biden won the 2020 election. The fraudulent electors agreed to not serve as electors in 2024 or any presidential election where Trump is on the ballot.
* The Colorado Supreme Court held ([link removed]) oral argument in a cross appeal from a 14th Amendment challenge to Trump's eligibility to be on the state's presidential ballot.

Here’s an update on Louisiana’s path to a fair map.

* Federal courts set clear deadlines for Louisiana to have a fair congressional map by the 2024 election. However, Louisiana Republicans have asked ([link removed]) the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals to rule that voters can't sue to enforce Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act.

Here are some other updates.
* In a win for voters, a federal judge rejected ([link removed]) Arkansas Republicans' request to dismiss a lawsuit arguing that the state's congressional map is racially gerrymandered and intentionally discriminates against Black voters. The case will continue.
* Maricopa County Republicans adopted ([link removed]) a resolution calling for the impeachment of Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes (D) after a grand jury charged two Cochise County officials with felonies for refusing to certify the 2022 election results on time.
* Georgia has until Friday to enact ([link removed]) new congressional and legislative maps, as required by a federal court. If voters and civil rights groups object to the maps, a hearing will be held on Dec. 20 to determine if the districts comply with the Voting Rights Act.
* The 5th Circuit held ([link removed]) oral argument in a lawsuit challenging the Texas' voter suppression lawhttps://twitter.com/hashtag/SB1?src=hashtag_clickSenate Bill 1. Today's argument focused on whether a dispute over documents from a now-deceased witness is moot.
