Treatments for COVID-19

Don't delay! Treatments for COVID-19 can reduce the risk of severe illness, hospitalization, and death.

There are several FDA-authorized or approved antiviral medications used to treat mild to moderate COVID-19 in people who are more likely to get sick. Be sure to start treatment within days of when you first develop symptoms for the medication to be effective.

Check out our partnership with Cue Health, which provides a free telehealth test-to-treat program to help ensure Minnesotans have easy access to COVID-19 care and treatments.

COVID-19 stories

COVID-19 Stories of Community Outreach and Partnership [ [link removed] ]?highlight the efforts of our staff in collaboration with community partners during the COVID-19 response. Some stories provide insight into how this work is done, others discuss what challenges our teams face, but all of them recognize how COVID-19 has pushed MDH to try new strategies so we can fulfill our mission of protecting, maintaining, and improving the health of all Minnesotans.

*Partnership in Serving People with Disabilities*

The beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted and exacerbated existing health access inequities for people who are deaf and people with vision and hearing loss. Thanks to an MDH grant contract, Keystone Interpreting Services established the Deaf Community Support Center to provide vaccination, testing and health recovery programming to Minnesota?s disability communities.
