Protect loved ones: Get vaccinated

This holiday season as you celebrate with family and friends, have you wondered what you can do to help take care of those you care about?

Everyone benefits from being vaccinated against COVID-19, but especially those people who are at increased risk of severe disease?(such as those who are pregnant, have diabetes, or are going through cancer treatment), do better when the people around them are vaccinated too.?

If you have not received an updated COVID-19 vaccine, take a moment today to?find a location near you?and help bring a healthier holiday season to everyone you care about!

There are many additional steps you can take to?protect yourself & others for healthier holidays. Here are a few more:

Treatments for COVID-19

Don't delay! Treatments for COVID-19 can reduce the risk of severe illness, hospitalization, and death.

There are several FDA-authorized or approved antiviral medications used to treat mild to moderate COVID-19 in people who are more likely to get sick. Be sure to start treatment within days of when you first develop symptoms for the medication to be effective.

Check out our partnership with Cue Health, which provides a free telehealth test-to-treat program to help ensure Minnesotans have easy access to COVID-19 care and treatments.

COVID-19 stories

COVID-19 Stories of Community Outreach and Partnership?highlight the efforts of our staff in collaboration with community partners during the COVID-19 response. Some stories provide insight into how this work is done, others discuss what challenges our teams face, but all of them recognize how COVID-19 has pushed MDH to try new strategies so we can fulfill our mission of protecting, maintaining, and improving the health of all Minnesotans.

Partnership in Serving People with Disabilities

Thanks to an MDH grant contract, Keystone Interpreting Services established the Deaf Community Support Center to provide vaccination, testing and health recovery programming to Minnesota?s disability communities.
