Dear John,
As the anticipation of election season escalates with every passing day, immigration remains one of the most politicized and polarizing issues facing our country.
Candidates compete for how quickly they would close the border. Disinformation designed to create fear around immigrant communities is nearly constant. And with millions trapped across the country by our outdated immigration system, unable to find housing or unite with loved ones — the cost is real.
That is why the American Immigration Council is fighting to strengthen the nation by shaping immigration policies and law everywhere we can — from the courthouse to the media, from Capitol Hill to state houses and chambers of commerce — from Kentucky to California and back again.
And we are determined to fight as hard as we can for our immigrant communities throughout the 2024 election year. That is why we have set an ambitious goal to raise $130,000 by December 31 — and why a group of generous donors has pledged to DOUBLE every gift until we reach our goal. Donate today! Our goal of a just immigration system and welcoming nation can sometimes feel distant. But every day, when I stop by a colleague’s office or hop onto another Zoom call, I am heartened by all the progress we are making.
And I see progress in every area the Council touches, from legal services, advocacy, and litigation to our efforts to fight disinformation through rigorous research, independent journalism, media outreach, and transparency efforts.
Please make your tax-deductible, year-end gift now, and your support will be matched $1 for $1, going TWICE as far to support our work [[link removed]] to:
