We are now in peak season for conditions that can bring flooding to area rivers and streams. The National Weather Service is forecasting [ [link removed] ]that the days ahead will bring heavy snows to the mountains, followed by rain, and the potential for rising rivers. Drones play role in flood prep

We took to the sky as part of our preparation for flood season this year. We used one of our DJI Matrice 300 uncrewed aerial systems ? more commonly called a drone ? to capture images of bridges and other locations along the Mountain Loop Highway bordering the South Fork Stillaguamish River. The mission was in support of the county?s Department of Public Works, which wanted to better document conditions along the river before high water?s arrival. More here [ [link removed] ].
