Hi John,
The attacks against the Boundary Waters are mounting. Right now, Representative Stauber and his anti-Wilderness cronies in Congress are doing everything they can to reverse the 20-year ban on mining, including directly giving mining leases back to Chilean mining giant Antofagasta by attaching sneaky amendments onto must-pass budget bills. Unfortunately, this onslaught of anti-Wilderness and pro-extraction legislation is only ramping up.
We will fight tooth and nail to protect wild places from exploitation. We tirelessly advocate to protect this boreal Wilderness permanently , but we can’t do this without nature defenders like you on our side.

We’ll endorse and support candidates who vow to permanently protect the Boundary Waters from sulfide-ore copper mining. We’ll be in the field with candidates and their teams, we’ll run targeted "get out the vote" ads, and we’ll make sure the Boundary Waters is front and center.
This upcoming election cycle is crucial for Canoe County. We must elect people who will stand up for the Boundary Waters when mining company money and influence flood the halls of DC and St. Paul.
But we need your help. People like you power the movement to protect the Boundary Waters. We won't lose the Boundary Waters to foreign mining interests if we stand together. Please join me in the fight for clean water by making a 2X gift.
