Dear MoveOn member,

At MoveOn, we pride ourselves on the importance of connecting with voters,
one by one.

Election after election has shown, when we meet voters where they are by
having genuine conversations about their concerns, needs, and dreams—and
then turn them out on Election Day—we win.

This is the lifeblood of what we know wins elections. And MoveOn has been
on the cutting edge of combining data and technology with old-fashioned
shoe-leather organizing for 25 years, honing how to most effectively turn
out voters, with a focus on young voters and those who do not consistently
vote.

But that lifeblood is at serious risk—and not just at MoveOn.

Right now, due to a sharp decline in donations to nonprofit organizations
across the country, progressive organizations have contacted almost 19
million fewer voters than at this same period prior to the midterm
elections in 2021.^1

In order to close this gap, we need your help. By the end of the year, we
need to raise $1 million to help get our work connecting with voters back
on track.

[ [link removed] ]With so much on the line in the 2024 election—including legal abortion
and protecting democracy—will you donate $9 now to help
close our voter outreach shortfall and help us connect with voters?

According to an analysis by The Movement Cooperative, progressive
organizations have contacted just 40% of the voters we contacted at this
time in 2021.^2

The decline in battleground states is even worse, with less than a third
of the voter contacts made in Michigan and Pennsylvania. In Arizona, only
one-sixth of the contacts made in 2021 have been made in 2023.^3

That is a gap we must close in 2024 if we plan to keep Trump out of
office.

As you know, Trump back in the White House threatens our basic democracy
and puts all of America at risk—especially the Black, Latinx, Muslim, and
LGBTQ+ communities who are already under daily assault.

[ [link removed] ]Will you make a $9 donation today? Face-to-face,
one-on-one communication with voters is the best way to win, and we need
to raise $1 million by year-end to make sure we have the resources in 2024
to get this done.

Winning in 2024 is contingent upon ensuring we have a huge voter contact
operation, just as we did in 2022, when we helped turn out 50,000 voters
in battleground states who otherwise may not have voted.

We plan to use these resources to train and assist local organizers in
swing districts to build cohorts of organizers on the ground who will lead
the charge to motivate their communities to vote in 2024 through direct
voter contact.

But we can't do any of this without fully funding this vital work. That is
why we need your help today.

[ [link removed] ]Will you give $9 today to help us raise $1 million by
year-end for our voter contact project?

Thanks for all you do.

Want to support MoveOn's work? Book bans have skyrocketed thanks to
right-wing state laws which have forced teachers to remove books from
their classrooms. In response, MoveOn is launching a "Banned Bookmobile,"
filling it with books that the far right has banned, and driving it around
to hand out those books, for free, in highly trafficked areas that will
attract media attention. To keep the Banned Bookmobile up and running into
2024, we need your help.

Will you chip in to power our critical work?

[ [link removed] ]Yes, I'll chip in.
