we're kicking it off one day early.

Your support will mean so much to the dancers, actors, camera
operators, costume designers, writers and many other members of our
entertainment community...like Geoff, a stagehand in Austin,
Texas.

Geoff injured his right hand while working on a show prior to the
pandemic, and the only way to heal his hand and save his career was to
undergo surgery. Without health insurance or workman's comp,
Geoff planned to use what little savings he had to get the procedure.
But then the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and his income evaporated.

Days before his operation, Geoff learned he had to come up with an
additional $2,500 or else the surgery would be canceled. Upon hearing
of this, someone in Geoff's union referred him to the Fund. As
soon as Geoff reached out, our staff worked through the weekend to
help him get the emergency financial assistance he needed.
