Without health insurance or workman’s comp, Geoff planned to use what little savings he had to get the procedure. But then the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and his income evaporated.

Days before his operation, Geoff learned he had to come up with an additional $2,500 or else the surgery would be canceled. Upon hearing of this, someone in Geoff’s union referred him to the Fund. As soon as Geoff reached out, our staff worked through the weekend to help him get the emergency financial assistance he needed.
