Belonging and possibility.
Going into our first in-person Making Money Make Change conference in four years, these two feelings were the most important thing our team had to communicate to the members and prospective members attending the conference. And we did it . Even I left with a deeper sense of connection to this organization (which I didn’t know was possible) and in the midst of all the painful times we’re in, I left with a stronger flame of optimism.
I also want to extend belonging and possibility to all of you, regardless of where you’re at in your journey as an organizer or resource mobilizer, this community is here to welcome you, support you, push you, and love you. This is how we play our role in changing the world, by building a generation of young people with access to wealth with open hearts and a fierce commitment to doing our part in building power for justice.

In all of the areas that mattered most, we exceeded expectations.
Welcoming new members into our movement for redistribution
Deepening the leadership of existing members
Building alignment with our national strategy [[link removed]] of Base-Building and Leadership Development towards winning Campaigns, Resource Mobilization, and Culture Change
Strengthening our relationships with movement partners
Increasing money moving to movements
45 participants pledged an additional two million dollars to movements this year, and tens of millions over the coming years. We also raised over $100,000 for our partner Grassroots International’s Palestine Solidarity fund [[link removed]] .
Like many organizations built around in-person programming, the last few years have been challenging for RG. This year’s MMMC was a reminder that at our core we are an organization built around the transformative and power-building potential of relationships. I already can’t wait for the power and magic of next year’s MMMC, and once we have a date I hope many of you mark your calendars too.
MMMC also coincided with the official end of our Fall Drive, where we surpassed so many of our goals; our community is now moving at least $120 MILLION to movements and we brought in over $500,000 towards our budget. Over these last few weeks of the year we still have about one million dollars to raise to resource our organization. If you haven’t yet, take this moment to invest in this transformative work by joining or renewing your membership [[link removed]] . Over the next decade this community will be resourcing movements with at least ONE BILLION dollars, that is power that we can’t not achieve alone, add to our collective impact by signing onto our redistribution pledge.
