Increasing money moving to movements
45 participants pledged an additional two million dollars to movements this year, and tens of millions over the coming years. We also raised over $100,000 for our partner Grassroots International’s Palestine Solidarity fund.
Like many organizations built around in-person programming, the last few years have been challenging for RG. This year’s MMMC was a reminder that at our core we are an organization built around the transformative and power-building potential of relationships. I already can’t wait for the power and magic of next year’s MMMC, and once we have a date I hope many of you mark your calendars too.
MMMC also coincided with the official end of our Fall Drive, where we surpassed so many of our goals; our community is now moving at least $120 MILLION to movements and we brought in over $500,000 towards our budget. Over these last few weeks of the year we still have about one million dollars to raise to resource our organization. If you haven’t yet, take this moment to invest in this transformative work by joining or renewing your membership. Over the next decade this community will be resourcing movements with at least ONE BILLION dollars, that is power that we can’t not achieve alone, add to our collective impact by signing onto our redistribution pledge.
