Your chance to make ripples this November
-----------------------------------------
Dear Friend,
With Christmas fast approaching, there's a lot going on at Ripple Effect and we'd like you to be the first to know! Here are some exciting updates and opportunities for you to get involved over the festive period and beyond.
Giving Tuesday: A global day of giving
--------------------------------------
This coming Tuesday November 28 is Giving Tuesday, a day to take inspired action and give back.
With your support this Giving Tuesday, [families like Bekelech's]([link removed]) in rural Ethiopia will learn the skills to fight hunger and the climate crisis through tree planting.

Ripple Effect teams take action
--------------------------------
It's not long until **The United Nations Climate Change conference (COP28)** begins. From November 30 to December 12, world leaders will gather in Dubai to work together on solutions to tackle the climate crisis.
Across rural Africa, farming families feel the [impact of the climate crisis]([link removed]), first and worst. It's not only threatening their lives, but their ability to feed themselves now and in the future.
In the lead up to the event, our teams in Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Burundi and Rwanda will be collaborating with farming families and their communities by holding tree planting events and championing climate-smart farming techniques amongst other activities
This COP28, we be appealing to global leaders to do more to reduce emissions and raising awareness of the impact the climate crisis is having on the farming families we work alongside.
A Safari to make a difference
-----------------------------
For the last 17 years, our partner [Journeysmiths]([link removed]) (formerly known as Africa Exclusive) have been supporting farming families in rural Africa through generous donations. They’re offering Ripple Effect supporters a chance to join their [conservation-focused Safari trip]([link removed]) this coming February 2024.
The trip will take a small group behind the scenes of cutting-edge conservation initiatives, with all profits invested back into the conservation projects visited. Journeysmiths are offering a **£500 discount** (approx. $612) to Ripple Effect supporters who [sign up to the trip]([link removed]), which they will then donate to Ripple Effect.

Thank you for your continued support of farming families. We look forward to sharing more exciting updates and opportunities with you soon.
With best wishes,
**Emily Mullen**
