BUT THEN: House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer launched an investigation into the D.C. attorney general’s reported investigation, accusing him of having political motivations, under the pretense of concerns about donor privacy.

Congressional interference in an ongoing investigation by local law enforcement is not legitimate oversight – it’s a weaponization of Congress’s oversight power and it threatens to undermine our justice system.
