The causes of health inequities are complex, diverse, and intertwined – that’s why those who are closest to the challenges should be the ones designing the solutions.
But so few local organizations have the time and resources to innovate and try something new in how they provide critical support to their communities.
Thanks to generous support from the Deloitte Health Equity Institute (DHEI) ([link removed]) , we designed a unique program to invest in, guide, and support local leaders as they identify and craft innovative solutions to advance health equity in their communities. The Makers Residency is designed to foster a nurturing environment for community-based organizations that encourages creativity, agency, and autonomy to spark meaningful change.
Program Details
We’re looking for leaders of U.S. community-based organizations to participate in our 10-week Makers Residency beginning March 2024. Participants will receive funding, coaching, resources, peer support and connection, and technical assistance. At the end of the Makers Residency, cohort members will have a prototype of their solution to test, refine and scale with their communities.
