πŸ™Œ Parliamentary event a success!

Dear SPUC supporter

On 25 October 2023, SPUC held an event in Parliament on the problem of coerced abortion.

Services Co-ordinator Margaret Akers and I (Public Policy Manager), met with MPs and shared the stories of Hayley and Lydia, who were coerced into abortions they didn’t want. We also gave them a briefing on the issue. You can read all about the event here ([link removed]) .

Thank you to everyone who invited their MP to the event. A number of them told us that it was your email that prompted them to come, so it really does make a difference!

We need to keep working to get Government to recognise the problem of coerced abortion, and to take action to combat it. Please write to your MP to send them a link to the SPUC briefing on the issue.

Please use our webtool to contact your MP

1. Enter your postcode in the tool. This will bring up who your MP is, together with an editable email template, with a link to the briefing.

2. Edit the email template to make it sound more personal.

3. Press Send message. Your email will be automatically sent to your MP.

That’s it!

Thank you for lobbying your MP on this issue.

With best wishes,
Alithea Williams
Public Policy Manager
