On 25 October 2023, SPUC held an event in Parliament on the problem of coerced abortion.

Services Co-ordinator Margaret Akers and I (Public Policy Manager), met with MPs and shared the stories of Hayley and Lydia, who were coerced into abortions they didn’t want. We also gave them a briefing on the issue. You can read all about the event here.

We need to keep working to get Government to recognise the problem of coerced abortion, and to take action to combat it. Please write to your MP to send them a link to the SPUC briefing on the issue.
