Winning Candidate Tim Barnes
Tim Barnes was reelected to Lafayette City Council with over 20% of the vote with seven candidates running for five seats.
Concerns about climate change brought him to the Green Party and he is the only green serving on the council. During his campaign he knocked on a lot of doors and went to where people gravitated to hear what their concerns were, which included infrastructure and housing. Building community and breaking down barriers were key to his success.

Winning Candidate Gloria Caballero-Roca
Gloria Caballero-Roca was elected to the School Committee, Holyoke Public Schools, Ward 4 in Massachusetts with over 82% of the vote.
The office intersects with housing, infrastructure, quality of life and social justice. It’s a community position and the election was a collaborative effort from people who live and work in her district. People were very receptive to her campaign message and the Green Party has given her the space to be herself and to be heard.
