✅ Gabe Amo [[link removed]] won Rhode Island’s special election, becoming the state's first Black member of Congress.

✅ Ohio voters approved Issue 1 [[link removed]], which enshrines the right to abortion in the state’s constitution, and Issue 2 [[link removed]], which legalizes the possession, use, and sale of recreational marijuana for people 21 and older.

✅ Philadelphia elected Cherelle Parker [[link removed]] as the city's 100th mayor, becoming the first woman to hold this office.

✅ Philadelphia elected Rue Landau [[link removed]], who became the city’s first out LGBTQIA+ city council member.

✅ Virginia elected Danica Roem [[link removed]] to the State Senate, becoming the state’s first openly trans senator.
