You’ve heard us say it far too many times already but it’s true: there are No Off Years. 

This year, we kicked things off with the Wisconsin Supreme Court race (which we won), then shifted our focus to the anti-democracy ballot measure in Ohio (which we won), and then finally went all in on preventing a Republican trifecta in Virginia, protecting reproductive freedom in Ohio, and re-electing Andy Beshear in KY (oh yeah, we won all of those too.) 

Thank you to everyone who was a part of these victories. Whether you donated, signed up to call voters, or even just reached out to your friends and family in those states to talk about voting, you should be proud. Because of you (and maybe a couple other people too), millions of people across the country won’t lose access to reproductive care. 

It’s proof that when we do the work, we win. 

Things can feel a little bleak out there *gestures vaguely,* but we draw a lot of hope and inspiration from this community. There are tens of thousands of strangers, dotted across the country, choosing to spend their free time and disposable income to protect the rights and freedoms of other strangers that live halfway across the country. That’s pretty freaking amazing. We’re proud to be in this fight with you. 

That’s enough waxing poetic from your mushy VSA staff. We’re hard at work preparing for 2024, and we’re pretty excited about what we’ll accomplish together.
