9 cities. 2 days. And a MAJOR VICTORY on Primary Night. This has been a GREAT
WEEK!

Senator Cornyn campaigned across Texas, urging voters to “Saddle Up n’ Vote!”
He visited with hundreds of Republicans in Beaumont, Victoria, San Angelo,
Lubbock, Abilene, Wichita Falls, Tyler and McGregor… ringing in Primary Night
in Austin with a fired-up crowd and some ole’ fashioned BBQ.

Cornyn warns against ‘complacency’ in Lubbock rally

U.S. Sen. John Cornyn is telling Texans to “Saddle Up n’ Vote” on Super
Tuesday.

The Republican, who’s running for re-election, hosted a campaign rally at the
Silent Wings Museum on Monday. He was joined by Lubbock Republicans State Rep.
Dustin Burrows, State Sen. Charles Perry, and a slew of other local Republicans.

Perry and Cornyn said Texas is in play. And while Lubbock likely stays red,
they said large margins are needed to offset Democratic margins in larger urban
areas.

“We need to double our game, or triple our game, from what we’ve done in the
past in order to fight folks that are more than happy to take away everything
we’ve worked so hard to achieve here in Texas,” Cornyn said. “There is a lot at
stake.”

Cornyn stopped at the Jefferson County Republican Party Headquarters in
Mid-County to tell Texans to “Saddle Up n’ Vote” as part of a state tour.

“We talked a little bit about 2018 and what happened in Texas. We got what I
call a two-by-four to the side of the head,” he said. “It wasn’t just a wake-up
call. It was an alarm that should have sounded in all of our heads saying we
are so close to letting what we worked so hard for all these many years slip
away from us.”

State Rep. Dade Phelan stumped for Cornyn during Monday’s visit, adding Cornyn
looks forward to getting a Veterans Affairs hospital established in Southeast
Texas. “There’s no more sacred obligation than to support the men and women of
the U.S. Armed Forces when they are on active duty and when they retire,”
Cornyn said. “That’s the commitment we made.”

The Republican senator campaigned in Victoria in advance of Tuesday's primary
elections, during which Cornyn is expected to be easily nominated as the
party's candidate for he upcoming Senate race before a more challenging general
election in November.

Cornyn pointed to a new wave of Democratic voters participating in Texas
politics as a motivator to get more Republicans to show up at the polls. "The
fact of the matter is, we've gotten a little complacent, because we sort of
expect...that most of the races would be decided within the Republican
primary," Cornyn said. "But that's not true anymore."

Senator John Cornyn Gets Out The Vote In Red Texas

Senator Cornyn focused his comments at Abilene’s Cypress Street Station on
what could happen if they don’t go vote.  He painted a map of Texas turning
more purple and eventually blue. Cornyn said that’s especially concerning with
the census on the horizon, which he says may bring three more congressional
seats to Texas and the redrawing of district lines around the state.   And he
pointed to the 2018 election as a warning, noting that rural voters were key
for Republican wins. "Last time I was on the ballot there were 4.7 million
voters.  In November of 2020, we're expecting more than 11 million voters."  He
told the small crowd.  "When Senator Cruz ran against Robert Francis O'Rourke,
there were 8.3 million, and Senator Cruz won by 200,000 votes."

of a five day visit across Texas.

The Senator was at the P’s Crazy Car Museum showroom to tell those who came
out to meet him about voter turnout, not just in the primaries but in the
November General Election as well. He said after the 2018 elections, he is more
concerned about some Republican voters not showing up to vote.

Sen. John Cornyn visits Tyler to drum up vote

Sen. John Cornyn made a special stop in Tyler this Super Tuesday.

“Anytime you have a socialist like Bernie Sanders leading the Democratic
nomination for POTUS, it’s frankly frightening to me," Cornyn said.

“They’re not necessarily grounded in what has made Texas the success story
that it has today," Cornyn said.

U.S. Senator John Cornyn made a brief campaign stop in Lubbock Monday. His
Saddle Up and Vote campaign brought him to the Silent Wings Museum. The Cook
Political Report lists Cornyn's seat as solidly red. There are a host of
Democrats running to challenge him after Beto O'Rourke's failed attempt to
unseat Senator Cruz in the midterms.
