Domestic violence and guns are a lethal combination.

If you add a gun to the equation, the domestic violence victim is 500% more likely to be killed.

As City Attorney, I led efforts to get guns out of the hands of domestic abusers. The group I co-founded and co-led, Prosecutors Against Gun Violence, co-issued a report on how jurisdictions across America could do the same. And I had the honor of speaking at the Obama White House to policymakers from across the country about how laws like these can save lives.

Simply put, it would be a disaster for the Supreme Court to upend this crucial protection for domestic violence survivors. It’s yet another reason we need proven, experienced leaders in Washington to take on the gun lobby and support meaningful, life-saving gun legislation.
