Congress has been ground to a halt for the past month since Matt Gaetz spun his caucus into the depths of chaos by leading the way in removing Kevin McCarthy from the speakership — leaving the House effectively shut down for 22 days. With the election of extremist ultra-MAGA Rep. Mike Johnson to the Speakership, any hope for bipartisan solutions to the challenges we’re facing seems dim.
We have no choice but to fight as hard as we can for the next year to retake the House majority and stop this slide toward extremism.
