JohnThe numbers are alarming: There have been 6,000 book bans since July 2021, with a 33% increase in bans in the past year.

Senator Brian Schatz and Representative Jamie Raskin have introduced a bill to end book bans and protect the right to read. H. RES. 733 & S. RES. 372 will defend the rights of public schools and libraries to protect students, parents, and teachers from hateful right-wing extremists and encourage reading.
