Click here for details & registration UPDATE: RHA bills pass the Senate, go to the House The so-called "Reproductive Health Act" (RHA) is a package of bills designed to repeal abortion clinic licensing regulations and informed consent provisions (including the 24-hour waiting period and screening for coercion), leading to a dangerous lack of safety and health standards at abortion clinics across Michigan. The senate bills have recently passed the Senate and are now in the House Health Policy committee. We need you to keep up the pressure by calling your representatives! The House will likely vote on these bills soon. We must stay vigilant and let those who represent us know what we think. Click the red button below to find your representative and contact them. CTV House Testimony CTV Senate Testimony HEADS UP: Surrogacy Bills in House The House Judiciary Committee will hear testimony on Wednesday, Nov 1st regarding newly introduced bills that aim to legalize compensated surrogacy. These bills threaten women's safety and would result in the commodification of life. Surrogate mothers and their children would be dangerously open to exploitation. With financial incentives in place, there's more opportunity for human trafficking. Call your representative and tell them why it's important to protect women and children from this practice!
