UPDATE: RHA bills pass the Senate, go to the House
The so-called "Reproductive Health Act" (RHA) is a package of bills designed to repeal abortion clinic licensing regulations and informed consent provisions (including the 24-hour waiting period and screening for coercion), leading to a dangerous lack of safety and health standards at abortion clinics across Michigan.
The senate bills have recently passed the Senate and are now in the House Health Policy committee. We need you to keep up the pressure by calling your representatives! The House will likely vote on these bills soon. We must stay vigilant and let those who represent us know what we think. Click the red button below to find your representative and contact them. Both Republicans and Democrats need to hear from us.
We want to extend a special thank you to Rep. Karen Whitsett for her strong principled stand against the RHA. Thank you for standing firm!
