JUSTICE FOR PALESTINE – CEASEFIRE NOW!

_Thousands turn out for the Ceasefire Now rally in Washington, D.C. last
Friday_

GGJ joins the millions of multiracial, multigenerational, and interfaith
communities who are both mourning the loss of life and taking to streets
around the world EXPRESSING SOLIDARITY WITH PALESTINIANS IN GAZA facing the
worst bombardment in their history. We are outraged by this violence and
condemn Apartheid Israel currently doubling down on the collective
punishment of Palestinians, tightening its nearly 17-year siege of Gaza.

Israeli occupying forces are unequivocally committing genocide. More than
2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza are facing death from bombs, starvation,
and displacement. Israel is carpet bombing residential buildings, markets,
schools, health facilities, and places of worship, and cutting off all
electricity, food, water, and fuel to Gaza.

This is the single largest loss of life for Palestinians since the Nakba:
an estimated 7,000+ Palestinians killed as of October 26, and 1,000+
uncounted people trapped underneath rubble. Many more are wounded,
separated from families, and in the West Bank, THOUSANDS ARE JAILED AND
DETAINED WITHOUT DUE PROCESS [3], raising the number of political prisoners
to over 10,000, including 4,000 laborers.

We embrace PALESTINE AS A FEMINIST ISSUE [4]. The devastating impact of
military violence is always borne worst by women, who must shoulder both
family care and survival work while also defending their homes and
territories. The struggle for sovereignty over their land is inextricably
linked to the struggle for women’s bodily autonomy.

DEMANDS:

Action is critical now, as the siege incessantly bombs and starves Gazans.
We are joining other U.S. progressive and Left organizations in a broad
united front calling on Congress and Biden for an IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE AND
RIGHT TO RETURN FOR PALESTINIANS IN GAZA.

This is a priority demand from our Palestinian allies to stop genocide and
guarantee that Palestinians can return to their homelands, essential to
prevent ISRAEL’S CAMPAIGN OF ERADICATION [6].

In addition, the U.S. government provides billions of dollars to Israel,
used to enforce Israeli apartheid. GGJ CONTINUES TO DEMAND THE U.S.
GOVERNMENT END ALL MILITARY FUNDING TO ISRAEL and halt plans to send troops
and weapons to the region to support the ground invasion.

WHAT WE CAN DO:

* Individuals and progressive organizations are called to ENDORSE THE
RISING MAJORITY LETTER [2], share it broadly, and encourage allies to
endorse, including grassroots organizations, faith leaders and places of
worship, unions, scholars, and all people of conscience. This is the moment
to forge the broadest united front to save lives.

* PLAN OR ATTEND A LOCAL AND NATIONAL DEMONSTRATION [7] to express your
community’s solidarity with Palestine. On November 4, there will be a
NATIONAL DEMONSTRATION [8] in Washington, D.C. at 2:00 p.m. ET at Freedom
Plaza.

* MAKE A CALL [9] and SEND AN EMAIL [10] to your congressional
representatives. Demand that they support a ceasefire, the right of return
of all Palestinians to Gaza, and oppose all military funding to Israel,
including the $105 billion additional military aid that Biden most recently
announced.

* Join the movement for BOYCOTT, DIVESTMENTS, AND SANCTIONS (BDS) [11]
against Israel, which is inspired by the anti-apartheid movements in South
Africa.

* Support GGJ members ARAB RESOURCE AND ORGANIZING CENTER (AROC) [12],
and Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), who are leading the struggle around
the clock.

up-to-date information.

Emergency funds are urgently needed. To get resources directly to
Palestine, we recommend moving funds to GRASSROOTS INTERNATIONAL [14], who
has long-term relationships in the region and a commitment to
movement-building. They are moving funding in limited ways right now, and
are poised to move large-scale funding to Gaza as soon as it is possible,
and to support groups impacted by repression in the 1948 lands, Jerusalem,

We ask all sectors of grassroots movements, organizations, unions, funders,

La Alianza Popular por Justicia Global (GGJ) se une a los millones en
nuestras comunidades multirraciales, multigeneracionales e interreligiosas
que lloran la pérdida de vidas y salen a las calles de todo el mundo para
EXPRESAR SU SOLIDARIDAD CON LOS PALESTINOS DE GAZA que se enfrentan al peor
bombardeo de su historia. Estamos indignados por esta violencia y
condenamos a Israel que actualmente redobla el castigo colectivo a los
palestinos, reforzando su asedio de Gaza, que dura ya casi 17 años.

Tenemos claro que las fuerzas de ocupación israelíes están cometiendo un
genocidio. Más de 2,3 millones de palestinos de Gaza se enfrentan a la

bombardeando edificios residenciales, mercados, escuelas, centros de salud
y lugares de culto, y cortando el suministro de electricidad, alimentos,
agua y combustible a Gaza.

Nakba, o catástrofe en arabe: se calcula que más de 7.000 palestinos han
muerto hasta ahora y que hay más de 1.000 personas atrapadas bajo los

EXIGENCIAS:

La acción es crítica ahora, mientras el asedio militar bombardea
incesantemente y mata de hambre a la poblacion de Gaza. Nos unimos a otras
organizaciones progresistas y de izquierda de Estados Unidos en un amplio
frente unido que pide al Congreso y a Biden un ALTO EL FUEGO INMEDIATO Y EL
DERECHO AL RETORNO PARA LOS PALESTINOS DE GAZA.

Se trata de una exigencia prioritaria de nuestros aliados palestinos para
detener el genocidio y garantizar que los palestinos puedan regresar a su
tierra natal, algo esencial para impedir la CAMPAÑA DE ERRADICACIÓN DE
ISRAEL [6].

Además, el gobierno de Estados Unidos proporciona miles de millones de
dólares a Israel, utilizados para imponer el apartheid israelí. GGJ SIGUE
