We recently asked our newsletter subscribers to tell us what they'd
like to see in their dream parks of the future. I was so pleased to
see that so many of the things people want are things we're already
building in parks and public lands across the country:

Nature play areas where kids do not need to be tidy-water to
splash in; earth, plants, trees, and rocks to climb around and
explore...

It's not a rock, and it's not a tree, but it is a giant crayfish, and
we're proud to have had a hand in its creation in newly renovated Lynn
Haven Bayou Park in Florida.

Solar-powered lights and gathering places for community events...

Designed in close collaboration with area residents, two new parks
near Dallas's Five Mile Creek Greenbelt feature Wi-Fi, solar-powered
lighting, and outdoor classrooms.

Frogs, birds, insects, and living animals making sounds and living
their lives to each and amaze...

Our Verde River project is a great example of win-win preservation. A
multilevel trail network will let curious explorers get close to
threatened species like the willow flycatcher without disturbing their
habitat!
