We recently asked our newsletter subscribers to tell us what they'd like to see in their dream parks of the future. I was so pleased to see that so many of the things people want are things we're already building in parks and public lands across the country:

Nature play areas where kids do not need to be tidy—water to splash in; earth, plants, trees, and rocks to climb around and explore...
It's not a rock, and it's not a tree, but it is a giant crayfish, and we're proud to have had a hand in its creation in newly renovated Lynn Haven Bayou Park in Florida.

Designed in close collaboration with area residents, two new parks near Dallas's Five Mile Creek Greenbelt feature Wi-Fi, solar-powered lighting, and outdoor classrooms.

Our Verde River project is a great example of win-win preservation. A multilevel trail network will let curious explorers get close to threatened species like the willow flycatcher without disturbing their habitat!
