John, t he state of childcare in our country is lacking, to say the least.
In Dallas County alone, parents are paying around $11,000 per year on childcare. For families trying to make ends meet, that’s simply unsustainable.
That’s why I sponsored a bill that would have helped lower childcare costs for working families by incentivizing employers to make matched contributions towards childcare for their employees.
Unfortunately, Republicans killed the bill, choosing instead to fund a border wall - but I’m not giving up. If you believe like I do that the richest country in the world needs to do more to support children and families, will you add your name now? [[link removed]]

Texas families are struggling and their elected representatives must work towards solutions. There is progress to be made if lawmakers are willing to come to the table and work together.
I’m running for Congress because I’m ready and willing to do that work. I hope you’ll stand with me in this fight.
If you believe like I do that childcare should be affordable for working families, please add your name now. [[link removed]]
Thank you,
Julie

Now is the time to elect an experienced and effective leader, with a record of delivering real results for Texans, who is ready to fight for you on day one.
I’m ready to make history as the first openly-LGBTQ member of Congress from the South, and I want you by my side. Will you chip in $32 to celebrate my campaign in the 32nd district? [[link removed]]
