John, did you see that I was mentioned in an article in the Dallas Morning News?
John, the state of childcare in our country is lacking, to say the least.
In Dallas County alone, parents are paying around $11,000 per year on childcare. For families trying to make ends meet, that’s simply unsustainable.
That’s why I sponsored a bill that would have helped lower childcare costs for working families by incentivizing employers to make matched contributions towards childcare for their employees.
Texas families are struggling and their elected representatives must work towards solutions. There is progress to be made if lawmakers are willing to come to the table and work together.
I’m running for Congress because I’m ready and willing to do that work. I hope you’ll stand with me in this fight.
I'm Julie Johnson, and I'm running for Congress in Texas’s 32nd District. Holding this seat is crucial in House Democrats’ fight to win back the majority.
Now is the time to elect an experienced and effective leader, with a record of delivering real results for Texans, who is ready to fight for you on day one.
