John,
The American labor movement is experiencing a renaissance and that’s good for workers, good for the economy, and good for business. The median net worth of working-class union households is almost 4 times that of non-union households.
I was one of the first members of Congress to join the Writers Guild of America on the picket line and I stood with them for over 100 days until they won wage increases and protections against AI outsourcing. I stood with healthcare workers at Kaiser Permanente who just reached a tentative agreement [[link removed]] for living wages and safe patient standards.
And I’ve been on the line with autoworkers, actors, and Starbucks baristas who are still fighting for the pay raises and improved working conditions they deserve.
These hardworking people represent the heart and soul of the American economy, making incredible strides for their industries. But we need to go further and make it easier for all workers to organize, form unions, ensure that corporations allow free and fair union elections, and demand that union workers are not retaliated against by Big Business.

The Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act is a landmark bill designed to strengthen collective bargaining rights and hold corporations accountable for violating workers' rights. It would clear hurdles for workers to form and join unions, prevent employers from interfering in union elections, enhance protections for workers wrongfully terminated for union activities, and increase accountability for unfair labor practices.
Strong unions mean a strong middle class and a stronger economy overall. They mean fair wages, improved benefits, and better working conditions for everyone. That’s why the fight to unionize matters so much, and why we need to protect and support these unionization efforts.
Sign the petition: Tell Congress to pass the PRO Act. [[link removed]]
