THEN: A dark money group with ties to McConnell and Republican special interests started spending millions of dollars to interfere in the North Carolina Senate primary.

BUT YESTERDAY: Cunningham won his primary -- dealing a defeat to those Republican special interests and sending a message to the GOP establishment that Democrats are ready to flip the Senate in November.
