The House still does not have a speaker as we enter our third week without a speaker and without any meaningful legislation.
The far-right fringes of the Republican Party pushed forth Jim Jordan, and after losing votes twice, he isn't backing down, reversing his earlier decision to back another candidate.
This is holding up critical legislation during multiple historic crises here and abroad, and it’s unacceptable that the House GOP is putting partisan infighting before showing up for the American people.
This is why it’s so important that we keep the House blue and keep progressive voices like Yvette’s in Congress. Democrats need to take the House back in 2024 and to do that, we need your help.
Chip in $25 or more today to re-elect Yvette, the only Black woman representing New York state in Congress and the First Vice Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus. [[link removed]]
Yvette’s ready to get back to work advocating for immigrants, housing, health care, and so much more when Democrats take the House in 2024!
