I always start the day by expressing gratitude. Today, I am grateful for all your birthday wishes this past weekend. I am also grateful for the opportunity to serve the great state of Maryland.

Serving as your governor is not something I take lightly. This position requires a great amount of honesty, hard work, and transparency. It requires meeting folks where they are and fighting every day to leave no one behind.

The work that we are doing in Maryland is bound to make history — and I am proud to lead the charge to make Maryland a national leader. From advancing industries of the future and expanding access to job training programs to celebrating our cultures and communities, we are building a state that is more competitive and more equitable.
