This session has made it clear; we can’t trust Republicans to govern. This term started with House Republicans unable to elect a Speaker, and it’s only gone downhill since. Not only are they still unable to elect a Speaker – their most recent failed candidate, Jim Jordan, is as extreme as it gets. He fought to overturn the 2020 election, supports the racist “Great Replacement Theory,” and is a founding member of the far-right Freedom Caucus. It’s another day of delays and yet another reminder of just how important it is to take back the House. We are already organizing.
