Also, did you miss the voter registration deadline this past Monday? Luckily for you, Virginia has same day voter registration. This means that from now until election day if you register to vote or update your registration, you'll be able to vote with a provisional ballot.
Not sure what a provisional ballot is? According to the Virginia Department of elections, provisional ballots "are used by voters who do not appear on the list of registered voters at their polling location. Provisional ballots are not processed by a vote counting machine at the time of voting, but rather are subject to approval by the local electoral board prior to the ballot being counted." We're heading down to Fredericksburg to help out at another VAYD Campaign Invasion for Joel Griffin (SD 27) and Joshua Cole (HD 65) on Saturday, October 21st! We’ll meet up at 10am to carpool out by 10:15am in order to arrive in Fredericksburg for the 12pm canvass launch. We should arrive back in Arlington around 4-5pm. Meet-up location will be provided upon sign up via email, so please keep an eye on your inbox!

Please be prepared to walk around for a while (think: athletic clothing, tennis shoes, sunglasses, baseball cap/visor), and keep an eye on the forecast. We recommend while canvassing that you wear sunscreen, bring water and snacks, and come with a fully charged phone as we will be using a mobile app to canvass.
