Also, did you miss the voter registration deadline this past Monday? Luckily for you, Virginia has same day voter registration. This means that from now until election day if you register to vote or update your registration, you'll be able to vote with a provisional ballot.
Not sure what a provisional ballot is? According to the Virginia Department of elections, provisional ballots "are used by voters who do not appear on the list of registered voters at their polling location. Provisional ballots are not processed by a vote counting machine at the time of voting, but rather are subject to approval by the local electoral board prior to the ballot being counted."
